As far as I've been able to tell, Netflix hasn't shared which shot specifically used generative AI, just that it was used somewhere. Looking at the VFX reel, I'm also wondering if the process looks different than what one might expect from tools like Runway/Sora - like clearly the more useful generative AI tool isn't text-to-video, but rather text-to-Blender or something similar that a VFX studio can use to really rapidly iterate on a shot.
Was anyone able to find a clip online of the AI generated visual effect in The Eternaut? I found a VFX reel for one of the houses hey hired

but it didn't include a 'building collapse' and it seemed to be normal VFX, not AI generated.
